Despite its dominance on Monday, DWTS couldn’t outperform the crew at American Idol. The 9pm overlap flattened the ballroom champ and put ABC in second place for the night.
8pm
- American Idol (10.3/25 in 18-49) averaged 27 million over two hours.
- NCIS* (10.5 million, 2.0/5) was up nearly 2 million from last week.
- The Biggest Loser (7.9 million, 3.1/8) was about even with its last numbers.
- It’s the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (6.3 million, 1.9/5) got us into the holiday spirit
- Just for Laughs (5.1 million, 1.6/4) had a small increase.
- Beauty and the Geek (1.7 million, 0.7/2) saw signs of fading.

MONDAY (3/10)
- The Bachelor: Where Are They Now? (ABC, 8pm): “Highlights from past seasons include segments catching up with past bachelors (Andrew Firestone and Aaron Buerge) and former contestants.” So the whole point of the show is to say there is no point to this show. Look at how successful it’s been!
- Canterbury’s Law (FOX, 8pm): Series premiere. “Julianna Margulies stars as a maverick defense lawyer who plays by her own rules to help the falsely accused.” I’m guessing ER will still be on long after this program goes off the air.
- New Amsterdam (FOX, 9pm): Regular day and time. If you didn’t watch last Tuesday or Thursday, I’m sure you won’t tonight either.
- October Road (ABC, 9pm): Special time. In the season (series?) finale, “Eddie’s ex-girlfriend shows up to reconnect with him, causing problems in his relationship with Janet.” Since we may never get a satisfactory resolution from this ratings-starved show, let’s just pretend Janet kicks her ass.

Last night, the Peacock network gave audiences a special glimpse of its new show, Quarterlife. (Its scheduled to regularly air on Sundays.) Unfortunately, viewers were apparently too busy having a life to watch.

- NCIS* (11.2 million, 2.1/5) grew slightly from last week.

MONDAY (2/18)
- Prison Break (FOX, 8pm): Tonight may be the end of the show as we currently know it. Maybe Michael can finally let go of that steely gaze now.
- Dance War (ABC, 8pm): The next Dancing with the Stars contenders will be announced during the spinoff’s season finale. Finally, a reason for me to watch.
- Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious (CW, 9pm): Robin Antin is searching for a gal to complete an entirely different musical act. With Danity Kane already taken, she had to settle for the 2nd crappiest group name available.
- My Dad is Better Than Your Dad (NBC, 9pm): “This competition series features fathers and their children in challenges that test the patriarch’s strength, intelligence and parenting skills.” Since when did NBC start stealing ideas from Nick TV?
